The concepts behind VbE are new to many in education. Many in the media have conceptions about values that have become quite outdated. Below is a summary that editors may like to see to understand the role values is starting to have in today's education of the generation who may well be driving society into the next century.

Formal scientific research has found that VbE provides better education for students. Better in four senses. (1) It is demonstrated to create a better learning environment, which itself leads to higher academic attainment and a better and more unified school atmosphere. (2) It enables students to be self-disciplined and self-motivated. (3) It provides holistic education, by supplementing the conventional subjects with core and empowering life skills for students to engage more productively with others and more effectively with society. (4) It develops in students the character, values and attitudes that business is demanding of its employees
